Top 10 Canadian Francophone Influencers

Feb 20, 2018

Francopresse, a Canadian Francophone press association, recently recognized Mariette Mulaire as one of the country’s top 10 most influential personalities. Ms. Mulaire was most recently Co-Chair of the Canada Summer Games where she represented Francophones from all over the country by being the official Francophone spokesperson for the Games.

“What an honour for Mariette to be recognized by Francopresse,” expressed Carole Freynet-Gagné, Vice-Chair of the WTC Winnipeg Board of Directors. “Her dedication to the Canadian French language and culture is visible in everything she undertakes, and this no doubt instills pride in others and motivates them to become advocates themselves.”

For those in our World Trade Centre network who might not be aware, the WTC Winnipeg is a fully bilingual establishment with 18 staff members who operate predominantly in French. The WTC Winnipeg’s services, programs, promotional materials among others are offered in both official languages.

The organization’s driving force… Mariette Mulaire. Its President and CEO has always been an advocate for the French language and culture. Over the years, she has led initiatives that utilized the French language as a strong tool to attract investment and business opportunities that have impacted the Canadian economy.
