SEATTLE, WA, USA - The Sports Salon welcomes the longest tenured Seahawk, punter Jon Ryan on Tuesday, September 12th at 5:00pm. Jon is among Seattle's brightest and funniest pro athletes. A native of Regina, Saskatchewan, Ryan joined the Seahawks in 2008 and holds numerous club single-season and career punting marks.

He also has appeared on the TV show, American Ninja Warriors ("The Gin-jah Nin-jah!"), co-owns the Portland Pickles collegiate wood-bat baseball team, and met his wife, comedian Sarah Colonna, on Twitter. Ryan tweeted her his phone number while in a Chili's in Jersey City, N.J., just before the Seahawks Super Bowl triumph against Denver.

Ryan will take questions from Art Thiel and KNKX's longtime weekly sports commentator and Morning Edition host, Kirsten Kendrick. Audience members are also encouraged to offer questions in Jon's areas of expertise, including the pending Seahawks season, beer, stand-up comedy, minor league baseball, and how to throw a touchdown pass in an NFL playoff game.
