TaiSPO to Build Sporting Goods Ecosystem

Feb 18, 2019

The 2019 Taipei International Sporting Goods Show (TaiSPO), organized by the Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC), will take place March 28-30, 2019, at the Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1, along with the Taipei International Diving and Water Sports Show (DiWaS) and Taipei International Sports Textile & Accessory Expo (SPOMODE). One of the world’s top 3 international cycling exhibitions, Taipei Cycle, will take place concurrently. These large-scale exhibitions are expected to see the participation of 4,500 booths, and will together form the most comprehensive sporting goods purchasing platform in Asia.

New exhibitions create a sporting ecosystem
TaiSPO launched two new major exhibition areas for 2019: The Smart Sports pavilion, where leading national textile companies under the Taiwan Smart Textiles Association, including Tex-Ray, Everest and Makalot, will display the newest smart sportswear and sporting apparel; and the Fitness Services pavilion, which will offer information regarding fitness consultation, sports education, nutrition, software services, and other topics to create a more comprehensive sporting environment.

Three major industry forums will start in-depth discussions on future industry trends
Responding to the current trends in fitness and smart sports, a series of forums will be held during the exhibition. The Sports Industry Business Forum, scheduled for the morning of March 28, will invite leading fitness companies in Asia to share industry trends and business practices. Later, on the afternoon on March 28, the Smart Sports Trends Seminar will invite leading manufacturers of smart fitness equipment to explore the development of the industry as well as its newest technologies. And on March 30, the International Seminar for Sports Nutrition will enable fitness experts from many countries to discuss topics such as nutrition, fitness, and physical training. This is the best opportunity for companies within the sports industry to master the latest knowledge on the topic and gain insights into market trends.

In order to make the exhibition more vibrant, organizers have arranged a Crossfit Taiwan Uprising Challenge and a Fitness Boot Camp for March 29-30 at the exhibition stage area. Events include sports competitions, flywheel classes, and a Zumba event. Participants who purchase tickets for these events will also receive a “fitness passport,” which includes multiple free gym passes. This is definitely an event that sports and fitness enthusiasts will not want to miss.

The 2019 Taipei International Sporting Goods Show (TaiSPO) will be open from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. on March 28-30 (the show will close at 3 p.m. on March 30). On March 28-29, entrance will only be permitted to foreign buyers and domestic businesses that present a business card. On March 30, in addition to foreign buyers and domestic businesses, the exhibition will also sell tickets to the general public.
