The "Gulangyu Forum: World Business Leaders Roundtable for Global Investment" was successfully held on September 7, 2025 in Xiamen during the 2025 China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT). The event was co-hosted by World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) with Xiamen Municipal Government and CCPIT Xiamen/WTC Xiamen.

For the past 23 years, the World Business Leaders Roundtable has become a high-end international exchange platform that brings together global political and business leaders to discuss the future of investment. Themed "Responding to Tariff Challenges and Promoting Stable Economic Development, this year’s Roundtable discussed topics such as the evolution of industrial structure, breakthroughs in scientific and technological innovation, and green and low-carbon transformation through dialogues on the global economic situation and investment trends, the impact of tariff policies, and the reconstruction of industrial chains.

“Through the diversification of supply chains and markets, enterprises can effectively enhance their resilience and better adapt to the new global landscape,” said Mr. Scott Wang, WTCA Vice President, Asia Pacific, in his speech at the Forum. “Diversified strategies and the practice of interconnection will build a more balanced and stable new system for global trade and investment. Under such a pattern, cooperation will replace confrontation, complementarity will prevail over competition, and the global economy will thus regain vitality.”

Mr. Wang Jinfu, Vice Governor of Fujian province also presented at the Forum. Attendees included government officials, ambassadors, chambers and associations, industrial parks, experts, business communities and representatives from WTC Tokyo.
