May 08, 2015

JAIPUR, INDIA - A team from the Rajasthan Government visited the World Trade Centre Mumbai on May 7, 2015. This visit was after the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Vasundhara Raje Scindia gave her approval in principle for setting up World Trade Centre in Jaipur.

L.C. Jain, Additional Director Industries and R.K. Aameria, Joint Director Industries along with few other colleagues met with the office bearers from WTC Mumbai. They were familiarized with various services and facilities of the Centre including the expo center, business center, and the WTC INSTITUTE and research wing. Rupa Naik, Director (Projects) World Trade Centre Mumbai, emphasized that world over WTCs are supported by State Government authorities. “This helps to bridge the links between government, academia and industry. The WTC Jaipur will enable the state of Rajasthan to interlink with the WTCA network globally, generating more employment in the state,” said Naik.

The Executive Director, Y R Warerkar, requested the officials to expedite the proposal and identify a suitable plot of land. The officials will be helping WTC Jaipur get office space at a strategic location to initiate the project. A report on this visit will be sent to CM Scindia shortly as a follow-up to her meeting.
