Meeting with Representatives of Pennsylvania

Ms. Sushama R. Kanetkar, Authorised Representative Director of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Community and Economic Development along with her colleague Ms. Supriya K. Associate Director visited World Trade Centre Bhubaneswar on 17 July 2018. 

The team met the officials of World Trade Center Bhubaneswar and held discussions on the prospects of collaborative promoting international trade between the two States. The interactions highlighted the potentials of both the States and aimed at identifying the sectors for mutual business. Ms. Nimeshika Natarajan, Assistant Director, World Trade Center Bhubaneswar in her discussion deliberated on the competitive advantage and potentials of Odisha and also highlighted the various activities and initiatives taken by the Center in hand holding the entrepreneurs of the State. 

The representatives also interacted with a group of entrepreneurs representing various sectors such as Education, Skilling, Information Technology, Engineering, Steel & Mining, and Renewable Energy and explained them about the facilitation services available for doing business with Pennsylvania. The entrepreneurs also gained an insight about the economic and demographic portfolios of the State of Pennsylvania and expressed their keenness to explore the possible opportunities for bilateral trade.
