International Companies Eye Palm Beach County

Palm Beach County, Florida has been on the radar of many companies around the globe as a strategic business location. Home to 39 cities and towns, popular ones including Boca Raton, Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Jupiter, Delray Beach, and Wellington, it’s strategically located in South Florida just 60 miles north of Miami, Florida.

What is most appealing to companies is the convenient access to world markets with local transportation hubs like Port of Palm Beach and Palm Beach International Airport. The County is also part of a tri-county region in South Florida that has 6.5 million Floridians, three international airports, 3.1 million labor force, and three Virgin Trains USA (formerly Brightline) high-speed rail stations that connect the downtown centers of West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami.

Just within the past year, four international companies have announced relocations to Palm Beach County, Florida:

  • V2Techs announced a relocation from The Netherlands to West Palm Beach, transferring its patented technology for electric ships to the United States.
  • Misfits Gaming, an esports gaming leader, consolidated its operations from Germany and California to Boca Raton. The new global headquarters will employ local college graduates with an average salary of $95,500.
  • The North West Company, known throughout Canada, selected Boca Raton for its international headquarters.
  • Nano Dimension, known for technology used in autonomous drones, cars, phones, and vivo medical devices, announced a new United States headquarters in West Palm Beach. Originally based in Israel and China, it wanted to be in close proximity to Palm Beach County’s bustling aviation sector.

Palm Beach County’s driving industries host big names such as Pratt & Whitney, Amazon, ADT, NextEra Energy, Office Depot, Carrier, The Scripps Research Institute, and the Max Planck Institute for Neuroscience to name a few. Some of the top industries include:

  • 15+ distribution centers occupying more than 5 million square feet
  • 1,400 aviation, aerospace and engineering companies employing 20,000 people with average salaries of $102,672
  • 2,399 financial service firms employing 32,857 people with an average salary of $70,913
  • 1,705 infotech companies employing 20,342 people with a $78,928 average salary
  • 711 life science companies employing 7,457 people
  • More than 23,670 manufacturing jobs with average earnings of $88,101
