InnoVEX - Asia's leading startup platform

May 24, 2019

Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) announced today that this year’s InnoVEX, the startup platform of COMPUTEX, will feature a record high of 467 startups from 24 countries, a growth of 20% from last year. Repeat exhibitors include startups from France, the Netherlands, South Korea, Sweden, Japan, Canada and the Philippines. In addition, 11 countries/territories, including Hong Kong, Poland, Brazil and Hungary, will also exhibit for the first time in their very own pavilions at the show.

Walter Yeh, TWTC President & CEO said, "COMPUTEX is one of the world's most important platforms for the high-tech industry. Since its establishment in 2016, InnoVEX has attracted startups at the forefront of technological disruption to come to Taiwan from all over the world. As more startups showcase their cutting-edge services and products at InnoVEX every year and capture the attention of venture capitalists and corporate investors, the show has blossomed into a benchmark event for innovation in Asia. We are committed to building a more robust, vibrant startup ecosystem through COMPUTEX."

AI and IoT applications will be the focal points of InnoVEX this year. Unlike other global startup events featuring preliminary concepts and inventions, InnoVEX 2019 will center the spotlight on the complete industry chain, diverse tech applications and polished, commercial-ready products. Top innovators from the upstream sector will gather at the exhibition and offer a comprehensive view of the industry value chain, including IoT network operator UnaBiz, AI chip startup ArchiTek, 3D sensing technology company Acconeer, and blockchain technology providers COBINHOOD and Cartesi from the upstream sector. “Social brain” creator Hoomano, MR vision tracking module maker Ganzin Technology and digital encryption firm Chelpis from the midstream sector and downstream application integration startups such as Ambi Climate, which is working with Alexa, and NextDrive, which is collaborating with the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) will also be exhibiting.

Heavyweight Speakers Fill the Agenda
Connecting Global Startups with Taiwan’s Advantage

The theme of this year’s InnoVEX Forum is "Connecting Global Startups with Taiwan’s Advantage". Speakers who will take the stage include enterprises, accelerators, and venture capitalists from more than 10 countries. They include John Jorritsma, mayor of Eindhoven, the Silicon Valley of the Netherlands; OurCrowd, Israel's largest crowdfunding platform investing in startups; and Wayra, a venture capitalist by Telefónica, the world’s largest telecom operator. The startup environment for these countries will be discussed, as well as collaboration opportunities between businesses from these countries and Taiwan, and how Taiwan leverages innovation and international connectivity to position itself as an international innovation player will be explored. InnoVEX Forum registration is open now.
