Hon’ble PM Modi lays Foundation Stone for MOX

“World Trade Center, Noida along with the UP state government is promoting Mobile Exchange Cluster (MOX) in areas adjacent to WTC Noida. MOX is a dedicated mobile ecosystem harbouring mobile network operators, infrastructure service providers, retailers and distributors of mobile products and services, handset manufacturers, and mobile content, application and service providers.
The foundation stone of the MOX project was laid down by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi at a glittering ceremony on 29th July 2018 at Lucknow amid the presence of industry stalwarts, Government Ministers, Bureaucrats and media form all over the country. The Government of Uttar Pradesh & World Trade Center Noida had signed earlier this year a MoU to build a Mobile Open Exchange Zone (MOX) around Tech Zone, Greater Noida. The laying of the foundation stone by the Hon’ble PM is testament to the commitment and hardwork being undertaken by WTC Noida to promote the zone as mobile cluster.
Ms. Khair Ull Nissa, Executive Director, WTC Noida said: “Looking at the way Indian telecom market is growing; MOX is an apt solution and will surely prove to be a game changer. MOX will enable reduced operational costs and enhanced profitability for mobile companies due to the efficient supply chain systems that will evolve due to the proximity of the vendors and suppliers in the cluster; this will also ensure enhanced employment possibilities amongst the local population .” WTC Noida has already taken the lead in this regard by getting Vivo on board. It is also in talks with companies around the world to set-up their manufacturing units in this region.
Praising the Government support Ms. Khair commented that “The current government has taken slew of initiatives to propel the economic growth of the country. These initiatives have put India amongst top investment destination across the globe. We are confident that initiatives like MOX will ensure ground level success for programs like Make in India, and Skill India and will take them to next level”
World Trade Center, Noida is in talks with many companies in the world to consider India for investment. "WTC Noida is collaborating with its counterparts across the world, especially its counterparts WTCs in China, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan for making it possible.
Indian mobile phone market is the fastest growing market in the world. According to DIPP-DOT report, by 2020 mobile industry contribution to GDP will be 8.2%. Uttar Pradesh at forefront of mobile production in India will alone touch 45% of India’s mobile production by 2020. MOX will be the major catalyst for trade and business in the region.
