Get Involved: 2015 WTCA Board Elections

NEW YORK, NY, USA - Are you looking for a way to get more actively involved with WTCA and help shape its future? Here is your opportunity to help lead WTCA – an organization dedicated to prosperity through trade and investment by expanding the reach and quality of our global WTCA network.   

As many as 14 Board seats may be filled in the 2015 election – with one or more open seats in each region. Our goal is to have as many talented and enthusiastic candidates as possible on the ballot. We hope you share our excitement and consider participating in this process that will positively impact the future of WTCA.

The steps below outline the process for applying. All of the supporting documents that you will need are provided below. We have also provided you easy access to additional resources that may assist you to learn more about WTCA.

STEP 1 

Review the Qualifications Requirements (Section A) identified by the WTCA Nominations and Compensation Committee that will be part of the selection process for new board members.

STEP 2 

To nominate yourself or another candidate, fill out the Nominations Form.

STEP 3 

If the nominee’s WTC is not yet certified, we have great news for you! Our new WTCA program allows a WTC to apply for Basic Certification through a “self-certification” process. Currently, this streamlined process is available to potential Board Candidates only, and makes it possible for non-certified WTCs to undergo Basic Certification no later than December 19, 2014, in time to qualify for the 2015 election. To start the Basic Certification process, complete this WTC InfoShare Form, then continue on to the Basic Certification Form.  

STEP 4 

Complete and return the Nominations Form to WTCA General Counsel, Scott Richie, by email (srichie@wtca.org) or fax (+1-212-488-0064). The submission deadline is January 23, 2015.
