EU-India Business Dialogue @ WTC Navi Mumbai

WTC Navi Mumbai in cooperation with Bombay Industries Association (BIA) powered by MentorMyBoard organised a session on EU-India Business Dialogue on April 8, 2026 at the WTC Navi Mumbai office. The session aimed to explore opportunities, trade, and partnerships for Indian enterprises in the Europe.

The Session began with welcome address by Mrs. Divya Momaya, Vice Chairperson of the Bombay Industries Association and Founder of MentorMyBoard. 

Mr. Jayant Ghate, Advisor WTC Navi Mumbai welcomed the participants and gave insights about WTC Navi Mumbai. He also made a presentation on the recently signed EU-India Free Trade Agreement (FTA). He elaborated in his presentation that the India–EU FTA (2026) focuses on boosting trade, investment, and cooperation across key sectors such as manufacturing, services, pharmaceuticals, IT, and renewable energy, supported by tariff liberalisation and digital integration. A major emphasis was on the combined demographic strength of nearly 2 billion people, creating one of the world’s largest integrated markets with immense demand and labour potential.

Mr. Rajesh Doshi, President of BIA, also addressed the audience and shared his insights on the topic. Mr. Charudutta Pande, Associate Partner India for Expandeers, also addressed the session and shared his insights on the growing significance of the India–EU FTA, highlighting its potential to create new opportunities for Indian businesses in the European market.

The Chief Guest Speaker for the session was Mr. Michael Fisahn Reinhard, CEO of Expandeers. In his presentation, he provided an overview of Expandeers and its role in facilitating international business expansion. He discussed the trade scenario between India and the European Union, highlighting the potential benefits of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA). He also shared key trade figures and identified sectors where opportunities are emerging for Indian businesses to enter global markets. Additionally, he explained how Expandeers supports Indian enterprises and outlined the company’s working process.

This was followed by a Q & A session and lively discussion. The session was coordinated by Ms. Divya Momaya who effectively facilitated the discussion and ensured a smooth and engaging exchange of insights among the speakers. To sum up, the Seminar was quite insightful and left room for further discussions.
