Entrepreneurship Program Generated much Enthusiasm

GOA, INDIA - World Trade Centre Goa organized its first program in Goa in association with Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industries on the topic "Entrepreneurship in a Borderless World" on September 30 at GCCI hall. 

Mr. Manguirish Pai Raikar, former-President GCCI and Advisor WTC Goa, while giving his opening remarks, encouraged the trade and business community to take advantage of the tremendous opportunity that is available in India with the new initiatives of the present government. The businessmen should make use of these opportunities and convert as their new business. He highlighted the three things which exporters need to take note. Provide the products what the globe wants, offer the quality of the products, which the globe demands and supply these products in a timely way. He encouraged trade and business to take the facilities and services provided by World Trade Centres to connect to the global market.

Mr. A.O. Kuruvilla - Deputy Director, World Trade Centre Mumbai, while delivering the welcome address, highlighted the immense opportunities the state can provide in the products like pharmaceutical, I.T. as well as cashew and marine products. He mentioned that WTC Goa will provide a vital platform to local trade industry to reach out to the global markets and global investors, thereby placing Goa on the global map of trade and industry. WTC Goa is now connected to the most powerful global business network of World Trade Centers Association, New York, connecting 323 World Trade Centers in 100 countries, representing over 1 million businesses, across sectors. He also mentioned, to take advantage of the incentives, the new foreign trade policy 2015-2020. Offers which are designed to support "Make in India “and "Digital India" and encourage the Entrepreneurs to take maximum utility of these initiatives.

Mr. Arun Sehgal, a first generation Entrepreneur and an eminent faculty in the area of International Marketing took the session on the subject, elaborating the various challenges and opportunities the new world order provides to the entrepreneurs. He explained in detail the global expansion process, India and its global standing, steps for successful globalisation, business leadership at a global level, creating competitive advantage as well as importance of SMEs in Indian economy. The presentations were supported by specific case studies, which were very informative for the participants for their understanding and interacting with the faculty. 

Over 70 delegates representing entrepreneurs, trade, business and media, participated at the seminar.
