Dr. Mingxing Li Leads Strategic Visit to YANTIAN International Port: Deeper Collaboration on Global Trade and Logistics
Shenzhen, China — June 17, 2025
To foster high-quality global expansion of Chinese enterprises, Dr. Mingxing Li, Asia-Pacific Regional Advisory Council (APAC RAC) Member of the World Trade Centers Association and President of the APAC World Trade Group, was invited by the Hutchison Ports YANTIAN in Shenzhen. He was accompanied by Mrs. Zhu Xiaolan, Chair of the WTCA Asia-Pacific Trade Services Advisory Committee, and Maggie Zhang, General Manager of WTC Haikou.
During the visit, Dr. Li and YANTIAN executives held in-depth discussions on key strategic topics such as port development, regional logistics corridors in the Asia-Pacific, and synergies in helping Chinese companies expand internationally.
Dr. Li praised YANTIAN’s operational model, particularly its world-class capabilities in cross-border e-commerce logistics. Shenzhen remains China’s top city for Amazon global sellers, and in 2024, its cross-border e-commerce trade volume exceeded RMB 372 billion. YANTIAN plays a critical role in this ecosystem with tailored customs clearance models, bonded warehouses, and dedicated express services to the U.S., Europe, and Australia.
The delegation and YANTIAN agreed on future collaboration around three pillars: expanding cross-border trade corridors, advancing logistics cooperation within free trade zones, and jointly leveraging RCEP policies to empower outbound Chinese enterprises.
Additionally, both sides expressed interest in integrating resources across platforms, ports, and markets to help Chinese brands globalize in a localized, systematized, and resilient manner.
WTC Haikou also aims to deepen port connectivity between Hainan Free Trade Port and the Greater Bay Area, using Haikou’s geostrategic and policy advantages to jointly develop a regional e-commerce shipping hub with YANTIAN.
