Doing Business through Cloud ad Digital Marketing

The unprecedented crisis of COVID 19 put forth a major challenge of maintaining social distancing as the only resort in order to combat the pandemic. However, this not only brought the trade to a stand still for a while but also acted as the major bottleneck for the survival of Micro and Small Enterprises. The situation thus reinforced the importance of IT interventions in any business. The need for a secure IT infrastructure and understanding of the basic technological knowhow was heavily realized during the lockdown period. World Trade Center Bhubaneswar in association with Batoi Systems Private Limited organized a webinar on Doing Smart Business through Cloud and Digital Marketing. The webinar provided an outlook to the attending MSME entrepreneurs on utilizing the Cloud and Digital Marketing platforms for keeping their business safe and connected with all its stakeholders and clienteles. 

Mr. Ashwini Kumar Rath, Director cum CEO, Batoi Systems Private Limited shared his insights on intervention of Cloud in various business operations such as manufacturing and production, logistics and distribution, retail and store front there by being enabled to maintain supply and customer relationship with business continuity and innovation. He also shared how the IT intervention could be effectively utilized in quality compliance and decision making process as well as project and operation management. He further demonstrated how the IT interventions could play a major role in sales, marketing and promotion in terms of raising purchase orders and pro-forma invoices. He also explained the use of intranet for business communication and collaboration and utilization of digital tools for improving speed of operation, accuracy compliance to best practices and coping with innovations. He advocated for adopting the cloud model and migrate the emails and other vital business documents and customer data. “Automation is the key” said Mr. Rath.

Prof. Surya Mishra, Faculty, Kalinga Institute of Technology School Of Management Bhubaneswar in his deliberations spoke about the developing business through digital marketing. He explained in detail on the importance and techniques of various social media such as facebook, twitter, instagram, Linkedin and other Google tools to build influence and engage clients. He also explained about digital media in order to raise awareness, build disposition, create leads, engage and convert clientele. He gave an understanding to the attendees on what to post, how to judge the post and how to create influence. He also spoke on the various models of digital marketing, marketing strategies, creating a digital marketing calendar, content creation, assembling of team.

Ms. Nimeshika Natarajan, Assistant Director, World Trade Center Bhubaneswar earlier in her address welcomed the presenters and the attendees and highlighted the objective of the webinar. She further appealed to the attendees to make the webinar a learning experience and interact with the presenters of specific issues pertaining to their businesses.
