Crowne Plaza Moscow WTC became the largest certified “5 STAR” hotel in Moscow

On December, 23rd the Crowne Plaza Moscow World Trade Centre hotel received the “5 STAR” certificate during the official ceremony held at World Trade Centre Moscow.

The ceremony was attended by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Sergey Katyrin, General Director of the World Trade Center Vladimir Salamatov, Head of Committee for Tourism and the Hotel Industry of Moscow Sergei Shpilko, president and CEO of Russian Hotel Association Gennady Lamshin and General Manager of Crowne Plaza Moscow WTC hotel Elena Belashova.

«Hotel Crowne Plaza Moscow WTC became one of the first properties in Moscow which successfully completed the mandatory hotel classification and received the highest «5 star» rank, confirming its status of one of the best hotels in Moscow and the official hotel of the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2018", – said Mr. Lamshin in his speech.

Vladimir Salamatov, General Director of WTC Moscow, thanked the staff of hotel and WTC Moscow. «Official «5 star» certificate confirms the flagship status of Crowne Plaza Moscow WTC hotel in Europe and reflects the professional and effective work of all the team. We understand that we should be the best hotel in Moscow and we will make every effort to this», – said Mr. Salamatov.

Obtaining this official «5 STAR» certificate Crowne Plaza Moscow became the largest upper upscale hotel in Moscow with 724 guest rooms. This year hotel received two more remarkable awards: ‘Russia's Leading Business Hotel’ by world's most respected hospitality industry World Travel Awards and winner for the nomination ‘Best Marketing Contribution and outstanding achievements in the service of InterContinental Hotels Group’ among more than 800 IHG properties of European region.
