CONSULAR POSTS & FOREIGN MISSIONS MEETING 2023

On the evening of January 4th, 2023, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front of Binh Duong province led a meeting of Consular Posts and Foreign Missions, with the World Trade Center Binh Duong New City (WTC BDNC) in the role of location supporting and program operating.

Attending the meeting were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mr. Vo Van Minh;  Standing Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Mr. Mai Hung Dung; Leaders of Central Diplomatic Agencies; Representatives of the Consulate General; Trade Agencies, and Business associations of foreign countries in Ho Chi Minh City; Representatives of domestic and foreign enterprises & departments in Binh Duong province.

At the meeting, Mr. Mai Hung Dung presented the province’s socio-economic development situation in 2022, its development orientation and policies and strategies in strengthening external activities and promoting investment promotion activities.

According to Mr. Dung, in 2022, Binh Duong successfully organized large-scale and particularly important international events and conferences such as the India Economic Cooperation Forum, the event honoring Top 7 World Smart Community Forum, the event Meet Korea and TECHFEST Vietnam National Innovation Day 2022, to attract commercial investment and exchange, share and learn from experiences in science, technology, management, urban construction and development planning to serve the goals of socio-economic development and the goal of building a smart city.

It also organized 20 workshops on investment promotion with foreign countries, thus maintaining cooperative relationships, promoting economic diplomacy and inviting foreign investment. It welcomed nearly 70 international delegations to visit, work and learn about the socio-economic situation, investment environment, trade and cultural exchange. Besides, it has established friendly cooperative relationships with 11 foreign localities and is an official member and reliable partner of 3 international organizations.

“The above good results are achieved thanks to the close cooperation and enthusiastic support of consulates general, trade agencies, and foreign associations and businesses in supplying information and introducing to investors and the international community a friendly and dynamic Binh Duong province in the development process,” said Mr. Dung./
