
WTC Dublin Hosts Trade Delegation from WTC Lisboa
From November 5 to 7, 2025, the World Trade Center Dublin welcomed a distinguished delegation from the World Trade Center Lisboa for a three-day trade mission focused on Innovation, collaboration, and cross-border business growth. The visit united leaders from both countries to explore new opportunities, strengthen international partnerships, and celebrate Ireland’s vibrant entrepreneurial scene.

Day 1: A Warm Irish Welcome & Strategic Discussion
The mission started with a welcome lunch hosted by Ogier Ireland LLP, a global law fi rm. The lunch se t a cooperative tone for the mission, highlighting opportunities for more business and investment between the two regions.
The afternoon included two insightful discussions hosted by Prosperity Chambers.
“Innovating Together – How International Partnerships Progress,” was opened by Ellen Fraz e r , Emerg ing Business , IDA Ireland, and it was led by Matt Mo han, CEO o f FKM, a nd Adrian McGennis, Chairman of Sigmar Recruitment—both founders of the WTC Dublin partner organization, Ireland Gateway to Europe.Â
“Accelerating Innovation – How to Leverage Large Companies to Support Scaling Companies” was led by Conor Carmody of The Innovation Exchange, exploring ways to enhance collaboration between established corporations and growing enterprises.
The day ended with a networking reception at Old Wesley RFC, where delegates mingled with Irish industry and government leaders in a casual and engaging setting.
Day 2: Showcasing Ireland’s Innovation & Culture
The delegation visited:
HaloCare - Founded by David Walsh, HaloCare is making independent living possible for everyone through its innovative solutions.
Balleykeefe Distillery - A family-run producer of super-premium spirits in an eco-friendly on farm distillery.
Cushendale Wollen Mills - Using original era techniques and machinery to carefully handcraft in small quantities.
These visits offered valuable insight into Ireland's innovation-driven industries and cultural strengths.
Day 3: Government Insight & Global Tech Leadership
On the final day, the delegation toured Leinster House, home of the Irish Parliament, gaining a firsthand understanding of Ireland's policymaking landscape. This was followed by a visit to LinkedIn’s European Headquarters, where delegates experienced the technology, talent, and global connectivity of a worldwide technology leader.
