On Monday, June 2, 2025, an information session focused on business opportunities in Serbia was held in Rennes. The event was organized by MEDEF International, Bpifrance, MEDEF Ille-et-Vilaine, the Ille-et-Vilaine Chamber of Commerce, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (PKS), in partnership with the World Trade Center Rennes Bretagne and the French Foreign Trade Advisors – Brittany Committee.
This event brought together French and Serbian companies with a common goal: to strengthen economic cooperation between France and Serbia, against the backdrop of European integration and strong development in Serbia’s agri-food sectors.
Serbia, undergoing a significant modernization of its agricultural sector—particularly in livestock farming—presented real partnership, investment, and knowledge-transfer opportunities for French companies. As a strategic crossroads in the Balkans, Serbia offers a favorable business climate and has expressed a clear desire to expand ties with French businesses, already active in several key industries.

The event was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen France’s economic presence in Serbia and to support the international growth of companies from Brittany.
Enriching the session were video testimonials from French companies already established in Serbia, along with a presentation of the France–Serbia Business Council. Bpifrance introduced its international development support tools, in a session dynamically hosted by Lydie Kerneis. The day concluded with a series of pitch meetings between Serbian and Breton companies, encouraging direct dialogue and new business collaborations.
A networking lunch featuring Breton flavors followed, allowing participants to extend their discussions in a relaxed and friendly setting, further strengthening ties between the two regions' economic players.
Visit to Saint-Malo
Following the meeting, the delegation traveled to Saint-Malo,
where they were welcomed by the Roullier Group at the Global
Innovation Center.

On Tuesday, June 3, the focus shifted to on-site immersion:
Visit to the INNOVAL site, a center of expertise dedicated to livestock farming.
Lunch at the FERRANDI Paris – Rennes Campus, prepared and served by students, highlighted local products through a refined gastronomic approach.
This moment allowed for more informal exchanges while discovering the next generation of talents in French hospitality and culinary arts. It was also followed by a visit of World Trade Center Rennes Bretagne's new Business Center next to the campus.Â
The delegation had the opportunity to meet Regis FEREY, Pastry Chef and instructor at the campus, Estelle Fequet, Campus Director, Vincent Bobot, Managing Director of CCI 35, and Xavier Migeot, Managing Director of MEDEF 35.
In the afternoon, the delegation visited Winfarm Group, an agricultural investment platform, with the participation of Sklaerenn Beauto, Managing Director of MEDEF 22 | Mouvement des entreprises de France Côtes d'Armor, and the GAEC du Lagot, a farm located in Pacé.
This meeting confirmed the growing interest in Serbia as an investment destination and provided a valuable platform to identify concrete opportunities—especially in the agri-food sector.
