WTC Trieste is proud to announce its latest agreement with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) , further solidifying its commitment to fostering international cooperation and impactful initiatives. This collaboration follows the existing partnership with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and reinforces WTC Trieste’s mission to engage with global institutions in delivering value-added projects.The collaboration with IOM is centered around the Y-MED Blue Economy project, an initiative funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region . The project aims to enhance the circulation of skills and support the employability of young talents across the Mediterranean region. Specifically, it provides opportunities for young professionals from Southern Mediterranean countries to undertake internships of up to six months at selected host companies in Italy.In Friuli Venezia Giulia , the project is deeply connected to the blue economy , aligning with the region’s strategic priorities. WTC Trieste plays a key role in facilitating and executing the initiative in selected locations. Currently, three young veterinarians from Libya have been selected and are participating in internships within the region’s sanitary structures . Through this initiative, they will gain firsthand experience in best practices, regulations, and skills development, further strengthening their professional expertise and fostering cross-border knowledge exchange.This collaboration marks another significant milestone in WTC Trieste’s mission to bridge global networks, promote economic development, and contribute to sustainable growth in key sectors.
