Bogotá, the sixth most attractive for business

The Colombian capital rose two places in the ranking produced annually by America Economia.
Five Colombian cities, Bogota, Medellin, Cartagena, Cali and Barranquilla, made the list of the 50 best in Latin America to do business, according to a ranking done by American Economy.

The list includes Miami, U.S. city which ranks first.

 In the study  Bogotá,  rose from 8th in 2013, to sixth this year; the Medellin climbed from 20 to 17, while Barranquilla rose from 33 to 31.

Meanwhile, Cartagena remained in place 24 and Cali gave up two boxes falling from 27th in 2013 to 29th in 2014.

The best city to do business is Miami, the most attractive for investment, with a GDP per capita of $ 46,000 annually, while Bogotá, reports a per capita income of $ 11,000 per year.

The capital city is overcome by Santiago de Chile, Mexico City, São Paulo (Brazil) and Panama City.

According to the study, Bogota´s trademark  reached one of the most significant  overall assessment scores, second only to Miami, Buenos Aires and Santiago.

Similarly, Bogotá ranks third in connectivity, after Panama City and São Paulo.

Among the worst aspects skilled services are companies, environmental sustainability and services to executives.

Nor did well when it comes to scoring points in his favor on the issue of electric transportation.

The absence of the metro, played down points for improvement in the overall rankings.

Meanwhile, Medellin was well qualified in environmental sustainability, brand power, infrastructure and services to executives.

Meanwhile, it did not do well in social and political context and economic dynamism.

The report reveals that Miami is close to 100 points in most grades.
