BINH DUONG (VN) APPROVES LOGISTICS PLAN UNTIL 2025

On February 14, 2025, the People's Committee of Binh Duong Province approved the Logistics Development Plan for the province until 2025, with an orientation to 2030 and a vision to 2050. The plan aims to establish Binh Duong as a leading logistics hub in southern Vietnam, with key focus areas as follows:

1. Logistics Infrastructure Development

  • Upgrading and expanding the transport system: Completing and expanding roads, railways, inland waterway ports, and seaports to ensure seamless connectivity within the province and with neighboring cities and provinces.
  • Developing large-scale logistics centers: Establishing modern logistics hubs to meet businesses' transportation, storage, and distribution needs within and beyond the province.

2. Human Resource Training

  • Enhancing specialized training: Developing logistics training programs to provide a high-quality workforce that meets the increasing demands of the market.
  • Collaborating with universities and research institutes: Creating opportunities for students and researchers to participate in practical projects to improve their skills and expertise.

3. Application of Information Technology

  • Building a logistics information system: Developing IT platforms to support supply chain management, monitor and track goods transportation, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Encouraging businesses to adopt new technologies: Supporting enterprises in investing in and applying advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and blockchain in logistics operations.

4. Policies and Business Support

  • Improving the business environment: Simplifying administrative procedures to facilitate logistics business operations and growth.
  • Financial support: Offering loan packages, tax incentives, and other benefits to businesses investing in the logistics sector.

5. Sustainable Development

  • Environmental protection: Encouraging businesses to adopt eco-friendly solutions, reduce pollution, and use renewable energy in logistics activities.
  • Developing a green economy: Supporting green logistics projects to promote sustainable industry growth.
