Jun 26, 2015

FRANKFURT, GERMANY - The German Convention Bureau invited WTCA Executive Vice President Bella Heule to join a group of hosted buyers to attend IMEX Frankfurt – the worldwide exhibition for incentive travel, meetings and events.

The trip featured the city of Dresden, followed by complimentary participation in IMEX from May 19-21. In order to qualify, at least 24 meetings with IMEX exhibitors must have been held.

She toured the beautiful 100,000 m² facility, which includes retail, restaurants, a 230-room hotel, a 600-seat theater, and many meeting and conference rooms. WTC Dresden has had great success in their local community, boasting 100% tenant occupancy, and looks forward to increasing their collaboration with the World Trade Center network. In an initial effort to do so, WTC Dresden has already uploaded their impactful marketing materials in the WTCA Resource Center on the digital platform.

Bella participated in the IMEX Frankfurt conference, which drew 3,500+ worldwide exhibitors, and saw it as a great opportunity to meet with potential Licensees, as well as established World Trade Centers, specializing in conferences and exhibitions. She was particularly delighted to meet with representatives of the following:

  • WTC Barcelona
  • WTC Dubai
  • WTC Halifax
  • WTC Las Vegas
  • WTC Moscow

Bella valued the opportunity to better understand the business models of the above WTCs that specialize in conference and meeting facilities. This industry also shows great potential for continued expansion of the WORLD TRADE CENTER brand worldwide.

Bella thanks the German Convention Bureau for a highly productive and insightful hosted buyer's program to Dresden and Frankfurt.
