Organized by the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) Asia Pacific Regional Office, the Asia Pacific WTC Best Practice Sharing Series has officially launched. This quarterly program features real-world member experiences, empowering peers across the global network to share practical expertise, strengthen their operations, and build meaningful connections.
The inaugural session on March 31, 2026, co-hosted by WTC Haikou, focused on strategic international growth. Ms. Xiaolan Zhu, Chief Representative of WTC Haikou, presented its comprehensive "Corporate Global Expansion Escort Program". She detailed how Chinese companies can leverage the Hainan Free Trade Port's favorable policies—such as simplified overseas direct investment approvals, reduced production costs, and a maximum 15% corporate income tax—as a highly effective launchpad for global markets.
Expert guest speakers further illustrated successful pathways for global integration. Mr. Edgar Braham, CEO of WTC Saltillo, explained how his organization provides turnkey soft-landing and customized site selection services for Chinese auto and EV suppliers entering Mexico's uniquely positioned, duty-free manufacturing corridor. Addressing capital-driven strategies, Blake Capital Chairman Mr. Blake Zhang shared a compelling case study on Nava Smart, a Chinese logistics tech company. He demonstrated how M&A advisory and strategic equity investments—specifically acquiring a 10% stake in a century-old German firm—helped Nava Smart rapidly access European supply chains and dramatically multiply its revenue. Â
During the concluding discussion, representatives from WTCs Mumbai, Jaipur, and Goa expressed strong interest in cross-border partnerships, highlighting new opportunities after India's softened its restrictions on Chinese investments recently.
The next APAC WTC Best Practice Sharing session is going to be co-hosted by WTC Mumbai on June 30, 2026.
