Annual Press Charity Ball was held in WTC Moscow

MOSCOW, RUSSIA - Annual Press Charity Ball, organized by the Union of Journalists of Russia was held on February 9, 2017 in the World Trade Center Moscow. At the event, prominent Russian journalists were awarded with  prizes "Golden Pen of Russia 2016", “Media-manager of the year”, “Credibility of the Journalistic Community of Russia” and other.

Evgeny Primakov and Gennady Seleznev were awarded posthumously with “Legend of the Russian Journalism” award. 

Vsevolod Bogdanov, Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Russia commended in particular the unique collection of Yevgeny Primakov’s works, as well as two-volume edition of "Unknown Primakov", which became part of the literary heritage of Mr. Primakov. Working group of these two projects consisting of representatives of World Trade Center Moscow and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation was awarded with a special prize "Golden Bookshelf of Russian Journalism".

Chairman of the WTC Moscow Board of Directors, the President of the Russian CCI Sergey Katyrin, said in his speech that the Annual Press Ball is one of the most important events of the Union, which gathers the most distinguished representatives of the profession from all over the country. It gives a good opportunity to sum up the results of the year, look into the future and reward those, who achieved great results in their work. He also noted that business community requires such professional support from journalists, objectively covering the problems and tasks of the state, understanding the need to implement urgent measures to modernize the economy, develop competitive and high-tech industries. Sergey Katyrin thanked the Union of Journalists of Russia for the recognition of the role of Yevgeny Primakov in the Russian journalism and for awarding the working group of the WTC Moscow and Russian CCI.
