2014 BUCHAREST GA RECEIVES THUMBS UP FROM MEMBERS!

May 26, 2014

NEW YORK, NY, USA - WTCA members attending the 2014 General Assembly in Bucharest were asked to complete a survey online, and 89% of those completing the survey expressed that they were either “satisfied” or “very satisfied” overall with the GA.

Members complimented the WTC Bucharest team for their warm hospitality and for providing lively social events at interesting venues that showcased the food, music and dance of the region. Here’s what a few members had to say about their experience:

“Bravo to WTC Bucharest for a well-organized 2014 WTCA GA! Having the chance to see my 'family members', finding out about the great tools made available to WTC members and discovering a new part of the world are all fantastic reasons to attend."

                                     Mariette Mulaire, WTC Winnipeg

“The GA at WTC Bucharest provided a great opportunity to maintain contact with existing members and meet new members. Many new ideas were voiced and new presentation/interactive formats were implemented. The working sessions were spaced well to ensure optimal use of time. The hospitality and comfort provided by the hosts were excellent. I derived great value from participating in the General Assembly proceedings.”

                                      Balaram Menon, WTC Bangalore

Members also contributed ideas for making the 2015 GA in Manila a great success and provided compelling reasons for attending. The top suggestions included more time for the Regional Meetings and the WTCA Plenary session, offering a presentation on the Filipino economy, as well as trade and investment opportunities and more sessions for sharing WTC facilities' best practices.

To reward good deeds and boost participation in the survey, the WTCA held a drawing for a one-night stay at the New York Marriott Downtown for the WTCA Member Seminar in October. The prize, valued at $299, was won by Eugenio Reyes of WTC Monterrey. Warm congratulations to Eugenio! You can certainly count on him to be at the 2014 Member Seminar!
