On March 29, 2022, CCPIT Xiamen / WTC Xiamen welcomed Mr. Pirawat Atsavapranee, Consul-General of Royal Thai Consulate-General in Xiamen, and his team. CCPIT Xiamen Chairwoman Ms. Biru Ke, Vice Chairman Mr. Zhiping Yan and the Liaison Department attended the meeting. 

Mr. Atsavapranee reviewed the trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and the two organizations over the past year. He also introduced the development of Laem Chabang port and China-Thailand Railway, as well as their work plan in 2022 to host Thailand Investment Promotional Meeting and Thailand Food Festival, among others. 

Chairwoman Ke expressed warm welcome to the delegation and deep gratitude for the strong support of the Consulate-General. She suggested both sides to seize the opportunity of the formal implementation of the RCEP agreement to promote bilateral economic, trade and investment exchanges, and invited the Consul General to participate in the Symposium of Overseas Economic and Trade Organizations in Fujian, the 2022 China (Xiamen) International Cross-border E-commerce Industry Exhibition and the World Business Leaders Roundtable in September.

The two sides reached consensus on strengthening interaction, deepening practical cooperation, and further promoting economic and trade exchanges and cooperation. They also had in-depth discussions on jointly planning and holding new types of matchmaking meetings in the future.
