Feb 26, 2018

Before an audience of more than 450 people, on February 23rd, at the Hesperia World Trade Center Valencia, the Horizonte forum was held, dedicated to the analysis of the scenarios and the political and economic variables of Venezuela.

The event organized by Congressus Center, was attended by the journalist and columnist Vladimir Villegas and the economist and director of Datanalisis, Luis Vicente León.

"Talking about reality (in Venezuela) is talking about many realities" with those words, Villegas began his participation in the forum. Next, he examined the political issues that occupy the headlines in the first semester of the year, with emphasis on the leadership that the parties can exercise over the electors and their convening power.

Similarly, he recalled the importance and symbolic weight of the international community that has closely followed the country's situation.

"We are in a time of change," said León. "The tools of subsistence will have to be new ones."

Regarding international trade, Leon said that analysts expect a 30% increase in the price of oil and that countries like China, Russia, India and Arab nations will play an increasingly important and strong role in the entry of merchandise in Venezuela.

The Horizonte forum was the first event of the Valencia WTC Agenda of 2018.
