TWTC Welcomes New President & CEO

Feb 24, 2017

TAIPEI, TAIWAN - The Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) welcomed its new President & CEO in 2017.

Mr. Walter Yeh, the new President & CEO of TWTC, has expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and said he is looking forward to working closer with all members of the WTCA family.

The TWTC is a devoted WTCA member and has been involved with the Association's activities since 1981. As one of the longest-running members of WTCA, TWTC has been working with WTCA membership to promote world trade by managing international exhibitions and conferences, providing international trade information, as well as offering trade-related training programs. The TWTC hosted the 25th WTCA General Assembly in Taipei in 1994, and achieved "Best Practice" in all 8 categories of the WTCA Certification Program in 2012. It was the highest number of Best Practice certificates the WTCA had ever presented to a single member.

According to the new President & CEO, TWTC has upheld the spirit of WTCA by always supporting all WTCA members. TWTC has signed MoUs with over 200 trade-promoting organizations, including the WTCs of Algiers, Bangalore, Bucharest, Los Angeles, Mumbai, Quanzhou, San Diego, Vancouver and Warsaw.

"TWTC is aiming to work closely with more WTCs in the coming years," said Yeh. "I will do my utmost to uphold TWTC's spirit of excellence as set by our former Chairman, Mr. Francis Liang, and I hope to have the chance of serving every WTCA member in the WTCA family in the coming years," he said.

President Yeh has worked in TWTC for 34 years. In 2016, he was recognized by the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) with the 2016 Outstanding Achievement in Industry Leadership Award. IAEE is a global association for the exhibitions and events industry, and Yeh was honored for his contributions and professional commitment in the field.
