SMART ASIA India—Expo&Summit to Launch in October

Taipei, September 12, 2019 – Government authorities across the world are today deploying digital and intelligent technologies to their urban planning blueprint, aiming to make cities smarter and better. The 3rd SMART ASIA India – Expo & Summit organized by TWTC, Taiwan’s foremost non-profit trade promotion organization, will take place October 17-19, in Mumbai. The trade show anticipates 100 companies, 200 booths, and 3,000 visitors, and will showcase comprehensive smart city solutions from Taiwan, India and around the globe, with the aim of building future cities in India.

Taiwan has world-leading AI technologies and has long been devoted to building smart cities. Indeed, cities in Taiwan have been present on the Intelligent Community Forum’s (ICF) ‘The Top 7 Smart Communities’ list since 2016. As Taiwan’s largest and most important B2B and B2G trade show in India this year, 2019 SMART ASIA India will bring together public sectors, SPVs, system integrators, real estate developers, construction contractors, and more. While the show is being launched in 5 months, a multitude of distinguished Taiwanese companies have signed up for the show, including Chroma ATE, Good Will Instrument, KSH International, ORing Industrial Networking, among others.

As the year’s must-attend event, SMART ASIA India features the ‘India-Taiwan Smart City Summit’, co-organized with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, FICCI, Advanced Public Transportation Research Center, APTRC and Intelligent Transportation Society of Taiwan, ITS-Taiwan. The Summit will gather 50 keynote speakers and 600 professional attendees, as well as facilitate one-on-one meetings and networking to expand business opportunities.

The show will highlight five topics: ‘Smart Transportation’, ‘Smart Energy & Water Management’, ‘Smart Medicare’, ‘Environmental Sustainability’ and ‘IoT Solutions’.

A concurrent event this year is the ‘Taiwan Higher Education Exposition’, supported by the Ministry of Education, and organized by Program office of Taiwan Education Center in India at National Tsing Hua University. The Expo will bring together government officials in the education field, and principals and professors from Taiwan and India to exchange ideas and cooperate in developing the smart education of tomorrow.
