Kaohsiung Food Show 2017

KAOHSIUNG, TAIWAN - The 2017 Kaohsiung Food Show, HORECA, along with the first Kaohsiung HALAL show, kicked off a four-day event at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center on October 26th.

International exhibitors hailed from countries including Japan, Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Myanmar, Brazil, Turkey, Latvia and the Latin American countries to join the 3-in-1 food industry expo. A total of 399 enterprises gathered at the waterfront exhibition venue and brought 800 booths to life.

Also in sync with the expo are eye-catching events “Culinary Challenge” and the “World Siphonist Championship 2017,” attracted over tens of thousands of domestic and international visitors.

Teaming up with local Halal-certified agencies, TWTC hosted the first Kaohsiung International HALAL Expo, aiming to promote Taiwan's Halal products and services to the 1.6 billion-strong global Muslim market. Halal-certified exhibits including food and beauty products were presented.

A total of 14 national pavilions were also set up to treat the visitors to a huge selection of international flavors, including miso soup from Japan, seafood from Korea, coffee from Guatemala, and beer from Belgium as well as Germany.
