Feb 24, 2020

The outbreak of COVID-2019 has severely impacted international health security and economy. In order to provide all the exhibitors and buyers a safe and complete trading platform, ASEAN SENIOR CARE & WELLNESS EXPO, MALAYSIA 2020(AGExpo) originally scheduled for April 16 to 19 has been postponed to August 20-23 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).

Although the outbreak of COVID-19 has recently impacted the global health security and economic activities, the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dr Wan Azizah, who is also the National Disaster Management Agency chairman, said that the Health Ministry would continue to closely monitor the current virus outbreak, and the situation in Malaysia is under control. Given that, economic activities can be proceeded as usual. To ensure a safe exhibition environment, TWTC and C.I.S will conduct in full and stringent compliance with health and safety regulations, by working closely with local government and authorities.

This year, AGExpo is focused on four product categories, ‘rehabilitation and mobility aids’, ‘health products and supplements’, ‘smart medical services’, and ‘long-term care services’, showcasing the latest products and total solutions dedicated to the ageing population. The show offers golden opportunity to meet with more than a thousand prospective partners, distributors, and buyers from across Malaysia and ASEAN region. They include medical institutions, such as IMU, Regen Rehab, Pantai Hospital and Sunway Medical Centre, members from Malaysian nursing home association and physiotherapy association, and buyers and distributer such as the Aged Care Group, HMI Group, IGB Berhad and Delfi Marketing Sdn Bhd.

The economy in Southeast Asia has been growing steadily, and governments and people in this region pay more attention to health and medical treatment. According to research by IEK Consulting in 2017, total medical expenditure in ASEAN and South Asia will reach US$443.9 billion in 2022. Seeing the tremendous demands and potential opportunities arose from this region, the organizers of AGExpo will create virtual exhibition, hold one-on-one procurement meeting and video conference, and conduct livestream broadcast to maximize exhibitors’ visibility and sales during the trade show.

AGExpo, the first-ever trade show focusing on senior care products and services, is the place where you can discover abundant business opportunities in the elderly care sector.
