2020 Taiwan Excellence Award

Organized by the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) of Taiwan and implemented by the Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC), the 28th ‘Taiwan Excellence’ award-winning product list was announced. 418 innovative products from 240 companies were selected. Thirty of these products will participate in the final selection to compete for the Taiwan Excellence Gold and Silver Awards. Information and Communication Technology industry products account for 34% of the total list. The smart machinery industry accounts for 18%, while the medical industry accounts for 12%.

The trend of Taiwan Excellence award-winning products reflects the development of Taiwan's industry. The medical equipment award-winning products have applied the use of AI and IOT, which shows Taiwan's long-standing ICT and medical expertise. Most machinery award-winning products have been introduced into the IOT applications, leading Taiwan's manufacturing industry into Industry 4.0. The e-sports trend continues to prosper, many e-sports products such as laptops, graphics cards, and other accessories won the awards. Many Smart home appliances and electric vehicles won the award, showing the strength of Taiwan's green technology, which is in line with the green energy technology industry that the government of Taiwan is currently implementing. In short, this year's award-winning products have made the Taiwanese industry's advantages in terms of smart medical, ICT, smart manufacturing and green technology.

The symbol of Taiwan Excellence honors Taiwan’s most innovative products and provide tremendous value for users worldwide. All products carrying this symbol were selected for specific Taiwan Excellence Awards based on their excellence in R&D, design, quality, marketing, and Taiwanese manufacturing. Initiated by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), Taiwan, R. O. C. in 1992, the symbol of Taiwan Excellence is recognized by 106 countries.
