A seminar on "New Opportunities for China-Indonesia Economy, Trade and Investment under RCEP" was held in Shanghai on March 30.
Co-hosted by Shanghai "Belt and Road" Comprehensive Service Center and Indonesia Trade Promotion Center in Shanghai, the seminar was guided by the CCPIT Shanghai / COIC Shanghai / WTC Shanghai and the Consulate General of Indonesia in Shanghai and supported by the Hongkou District government. Nearly 80 delegates attended the meeting in-person, and about 3,000 people attended online.
The seminar aimed to help enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta to better understand Indonesia's investment environment and development prospects and make full use of RCEP policies to expand new investment and trade opportunities. Mr. Yang Dongsheng, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Shanghai / COIC Shanghai / WTC Shanghai and Mr. Deny W. Kurnia, Consul General of Indonesian in Shanghai delivered speeches at the meeting.
Experts and speakers from the Fudan Institute of Belt and Road & Global Governance, the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, and the Indonesian Investment Promotion Center shared insights on the outlook of China-Indonesia economic and trade cooperation under RCEP and introduced Indonesia's economic and trade investment policies, market access and marketing practices. The audience also gained knowledge about opportunities and challenges of regional economic development under RCEP.
After the meeting, the participants toured the Indonesia Experience Center to enjoy the charm of various Indonesian specialty goods.
