Flight Service Offered from Canada to Savannah

Jan 27, 2017

SAVANNAH, GA, USA - – Last month, Air Canada announced that it will begin seasonal service from Toronto Pearson International Airport to Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport beginning May 1. This accomplishment is due, in part, to the efforts by World Trade Center Savannah license holder, the Savannah Economic Development Authority (SEDA), WTCSav Partner, the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, Visit Savannah and the Hilton Head Bluffton Chamber of Commerce.

Since identifying Canada as a target country, WTC Savannah and SEDA have worked to strengthen ties between the coastal region of Georgia and Canada. This new air service will further strengthen ties and offer visitors and business travelers more options when travelling to and from Savannah and Toronto. The Savannah region is home to eight Canadian-owned companies, including DIRTT Environmental Solutions, which has a manufacturing facility in Savannah.

In a press release issued by the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, Lisa Pierce, Senior Director, USA Sales & Market Development at Air Canada said, “Our new service will offer more travel options for local residents, both to visit Canada or to connect conveniently to our international network.”

Air Canada is the largest full-service airline in Canada and the largest provider of scheduled passenger services in the Canadian market. Including the recent addition of Air Canada, Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport now offers service to 21 destinations with 46 daily departures.
