WTC São Paulo partners with Pro Ecuador Brasil

SÃO PAULO, BRAZILThe Embassador of Ecuador in Brazil, Horácio Sevilla Borja, and the Executive Vice President of the World Trade Center São Paulo Business Club, Sérgio Frota, signed a partnership to attract investments in strategic sectors, stimulate Ecuador’s exports and promote the bilateral trade.

On May 6th, the WTC SP and Pro Ecuador Brasil signed a partnership in order to promote investments in Ecuador and its products’ export.

Pro Ecuador Brasil is the public agency responsible to promote the country’s export products in Brazil, such as tuna, bananas, toquillas, roses and shrimp, and also stimulate investments in strategic areas in Ecuador, like infrastructure.

The partnership revolves around the organization of several events in the next year. The first one will be an event for up to 100 people, focused on high-level business men interested in investment opportunities.

“Brazil is a very important country and this partnership will enable us to develop great business opportunities”, stated the Emssador Horácio Sevilla Borja, during the meeting.

The event, expected for October, will have as speakers, the Vice President of Ecuador Jorge Glass, the Foreign Trade Minister, Diego Aulestia, the Embassador from Ecuador in Brasil, Horácio Sevilla Borja and the General Consul in São Paulo, Wladimir Vargas.

Ecuador is today one of the countries with best economic performance in Latin America. The average annual growth is at 4.5% and the non-Oil economy represents a 5% average growth for the past 10 years.
  
The one-digit inflation is actually better than the average for Latin America and the currency is the American Dollar which gives security to the investors.

The country has one of the best indicators in the region due to public policies and emphasis in the directed public spending, that allowed Ecuador to reach almost 4% GDP growth in 2014.
