ROTTERDAM, NETHERLANDS - On Wednesday 10 September 2014 the club members of WTC Business Club Rotterdam and WTC The Hague International Business Club were jointly visiting the family company Damen Shipyards in Gorinchem in the Netherlands. During the announcement of the visit there was a lot of interest, within a few days the 60 available places were filled.

The club members were warmly welcomed by Ronald van Raaij (Chairman of WTC Business Club Rotterdam). He introduced Olivier Marcus, Executive Manager Public Relations at Damen Shipyards. Olivier Marcus gave a presentation about the impressive family company Damen Shipyards. An international shipyards group which operates in every niche market where they see opportunity to improve, innovate or invest.

After the presentation, the club members were divided into groups for a tour on the shipyard of Damen Shipyards. During the tour they were shown how Damen Shipyards build and repair ships. The business visit was a major success and the club members labeled the visit as inspiring and impressive.
