The Breton Economic Forum, held in Saint-Malo, once again brought together key players in regional development for debates, discussions and perspectives on the future of the region.

The World Trade Centre Rennes Bretagne was present at this particularly busy edition, marked by the vitality of the Breton economic fabric and a shared desire to build a sustainable and innovative model.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE MORNING

The opening plenary session, attended by Loïg Chesnais-Girard, set the tone.

A round table discussion led by Laurence Fortin L'Hour, Vice-President of the Brittany Region, and Ève Martineau, from Forvis Mazars in France, provided an opportunity to address the major economic issues of the moment.

SOME KEY OBSERVATIONS

• Brittany retains a solid economic fabric, but remains vigilant in the face of economic uncertainties.

• Breton business leaders remain confident in the health of their companies.

• 68% of business leaders cite HR management as their main challenge, well above the national average.

• The strong and assertive Breton identity remains a major asset for the future.

INSPIRING PRESENTATIONS

Laurence Fortin L'Hour reminded us of the importance of relocating purchases to Brittany and focusing on the resilience and dynamism of regional businesses.

Ève Martineau presented the 40 priorities of the Breton Pact, based on four pillars:

• Growth and development

• Research and training

• Sustainability

• Identity and culture

INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY IN THE SPOTLIGHT

A highlight of this edition was the presentation of the USE IT AGAIN monohull by Romain Pilliard, a project supported by Forvis Mazars in France, a true symbol of the circular economy and sustainable innovation.

A COLLABORATIVE SPACE AND PRODUCTIVE EXCHANGES

The Brittany Committee of French Foreign Trade Advisors, the World Trade Centre Rennes Bretagne and the World Trade Centre Brest were delighted to share a joint stand in the Ker'Xport space, an initiative led by Lydie Kerneis.

This space facilitated:

• numerous inspiring contacts,

• enriching conferences,

• and the presentation of the Moci trophies, recognising excellence in international trade in Brittany.

A BRITTANY LOOKING TO THE FUTURE
