WTC Pune participates in Trade Partners' events

PUNE, INDIA - To grow international trade and leverage its partnerships, WTC Pune participated in many international events of its MoU partners in Jan. - Feb.  2017.

At the Antwerp Port Authority Annual Reception at Mumbai, H.E. Alexander De Croo, Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium, H.E. Jan Luykx, Ambassador of Belgium to India, H.E. Peter Huyghebaert, Consul General of Belgium in Mumbai interacted with Mr. Nikhil Oswal of  Team WTC Pune and Mr. Vinod Sharma – President - PCHAA. Antwerp Port Authority officials including Mr. Marc Van Peel – Chairman and Mr. Luc Arnout, Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Raj Khalid, Ms. Saroj Mehta and Ms. Malini Dutt were also present.

Mr. H.E. Alexander De Croo, Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium emphasised the role of Antwerp and Belgium in India's growing foreign trade and assured support to India's maritime efforts.

US India Importers’s Council (USIIC) Board and its members were updated on “US-India Trade in the Current Market Scenario” by US Consul General Thomas L. Vajda at the US Consulate in Mumbai. The US Commercial Service (USCS) Team played perfect hosts to the USIIC interaction.

Mr. Thomas Vajda felt that despite changes in government US commitment to India will grow stronger in the years to come.

USIIC Vice Chairman Mr. Jagat Shah emphasized on “How to leverage USIIC Membership” by “Speed Networking” – 

It was a unique opportunity to meet all the key industry players in quick succession and develop lasting business relationships. Mr. M. J. Rai, Mr. Milan Zatakia and Mr. Robin Rosario interacted about US India opportunities for India.

WTC Navi Mumbai organised an Interactive Session & Seminar on “ Doing Business with South Korea” on February 9th, 2017. As many as 70 delegates from the industrial, business, & academic community participated and benefited from this knowledge based seminar.

Mr. D W Lee, Director General of Korea Trade – Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) was the Chief Guest. He made an excellent presentation on South Korea – India Trade and economic relations & growth opportunities for business. He highlighted the sectors in which India can export more to South Korea such as petroleum products, engineering & auto components, chemicals, pharma, textiles etc.

WTC Pune is MoU partner of Antwerp Port Authority, WTC Navi Mumbai, USIIC and PCHAA.
