WTC Pune and WTC Mumbai signs MOU

PUNE, INDIA – In midst of “2015 WTC Trade Services Training Program” held in Mumbai, World Trade Center Pune (WTCP) and World Trade Centre Mumbai (WTCM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on June 5’ 2015.

While signing the document, Mr. Y.R. Warerkar, Executive Director, WTC Mumbai, expressed, “this collaborative effort will foster mutual efforts to promote Trade and Investment activities between the two WTCs.”

With this MoU, both parties envisage joint trade promotion events like symposiums, seminars, buyer-seller meets, trade exhibitions, training workshops to promote international trade.

Ecstatic, Mr. Sagar Chordia, Director – WTC, Pune said, “the rapid industrial and trade growth in Pune – Mumbai region will benefit from such knowledge sharing initiatives.”

WTCP participated in the training programme which held between June 3 and June 5. The training programme saw some interactive participation from WTCs across India. Mr. Scott Wang, VP (Asia Pacific) WTCA was the keynote speaker at the session. The programme provided systematic training for WTC operation with a focus on trade services, which is critical for young WTCs in South Asia and other parts of Asia Pacific region to succeed. 

In the recent wake of events, WTC Pune signed yet another Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ms. Khair Ull Nissa, Director of World Trade Center Noida on March 18’ 2015.
