Panama: Foreign Investment Up 11%

Between January and March of 2017, $1,315 million came into the country in foreign direct investment, representing an increase of almost 11% compared to the same period in 2016. From a report compiled by the General Comptroller of the Republic it shows that between January and Match of 2017, $1,315 million came into the country in foreign direct investment, representing 10.7 percent more than the B/.1,188.7 million recorded during the same period last year, according to preliminary figures from the National Statistics and Census Institute (INEC) at the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic.
