NOIDA, INDIA - VERBIND, the Trade Services arm of World Trade Center Noida, along with the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) facilitated the visit of a Taiwanese delegation comprising ten companies in various smart life technology industry. Taiwan is a major player in the Global Electronics & allied sector and through this visit VERBIND aimed at bringing this cutting edge technology to India and impetus to the plan of smart city projects in India.

During the visit, the delegates met many manufacturers, importers and exporters from their sectors of interest through B2B meetings which was held at Hotel Le Meridien on 13th May 2016. The event was attended by more than 40 Indian companies from various smart life technology sectors. The Taiwanese delegation also visited the WTC Noida site to have a larger view of the about the activities of the only WTC Noida, the only WTC operation in North India that too in the smart city of Noida. An interactive session with senior officials of state Government was also organized at the site for providing insight on various steps taken by the Government authorities towards making Noida a role model smart city and also increasing trade and investment. The Government officials also praised the various activities undertaken by WTC Noida through its services arm VERBIND in accelerating the economic and trade scenario of the Noida.

This event opened up a new avenue for exploring business opportunities with the Taiwan Companies and it was a small initiative by VERBIND in bringing India to the forefront, in terms of technology and innovation.
