WTC Noida Committed Towards Retail Growth

NOIDA, INDIA - On September 21st and 22nd, 2016- Retail and allied businesses from India and overseas gathered at India’s largest Retail Intelligence business event, India Retail Forum (IRF) 2016 in Mumbai. The 13th edition of the forum with its theme: NAVIGATING THE WORLD’S FASTEST GROWING MAJOR MARKET witnessed a gush of distinguished and able leaders and speakers joining the forum.

Addressing at an IRF session on ‘Omni channel Requisites for Retail Spaces – What the Future of Retail Holds for the Malls of Tomorrow’, Ms. Khair Ull Nissa, Executive Director of WTC Noida and VERBIND- Its trade services arm, shared her insights about focusing on the path for malls to become immersive, digitally synced lifestyle destinations. Taking the Omni channel story beyond stores to shopping centers, she highlighted the current scenario of how Indian retailers are already showing evidence of smart deployment of technology — be it in in-store displays, intuitive customer experiences or making rapid transitions to online channels.

The mega event offered a crisp barometer of the rapid changes sweeping retail in India- the world’s fastest growing major market, and also in-depth insights on navigating the future. India Retail Forum (IRF) this year turned out to be most substantive unraveling of intellectual and information exchange for the retail business in the Indian subcontinent. Ms. Khair also mentioned that “Retail is going to be a major component for World Trade Center in Noida, Chandigarh and GIFT CITY, the organization is currently seeking retail management partners who want to tap the Indian market, which is pitted to be the 5th largest domestic market by 2025”.
