WTD Aurangabad Stresses on Auto Products Exports

World Trade Centre (WTC) Mumbai organized its 5th in series World Trade Day Maharashtra in Aurangabad on May 26, 2017 in association with the Chamber of Maharashtra Industries and Agriculture (CMIA) on the topic ‘Accessing Global Markets for Auto Components’ in Aurangabad on May 26, 2017.

The workshop was inaugurated by Mr. Vinod Nandapurkar, President, CPD–Operations, Garware Polyester Ltd. who was also the Chief Guest of the event. He narrated his experience in setting up his company’s business and thereafter achieving commercial success. He said, “There is tremendous scope for export in auto industries from Aurangabad because of supporting government policies and assistance to boost this industry. He advocated the adoption of an integrated approach (ISO, TPM, 5S and Six Sigma under one umbrella) toward systems improvements in their establishment.

The event commenced with the welcome address by Mr. Anand Pole, Secretary, CMIA followed by the introductory address by Mr. Suresh Ghorpade, Assistant Director–Trade Promotion, WTC Mumbai. Mr. Mahesh Someshwar, Managing Director, MASO Group and Mr. Sachin Gangwar, Manager, SIDBI were also present at the event. Professor Virendra Gupte, Advisor, Tata International and Faculty, WTC Institute of International Trade, Mumbai conducted the workshop.

Mr. Someshwar elaborated on the various export opportunities in auto components and other sectors in Aurangabad. Mr. Gangwar elaborated various schemes for MSMEs and informed the audience to avail of the loan facility offered by SIDBI. He proudly said that the non-performing asset (NPA) rate of SIDBI is zero.

Professor Virendra Gupte, Advisor, Tata International and Faculty, WTC Institute of International Trade, Mumbai briefly elaborated on the benefits that entrepreneurs can gain while exporting their products to the other countries.

On this occasion, WTC Mumbai felicitated outstanding exporters and logistics companies with Award of Honours for their outstanding performance in international trade in city of Aurangabad.

Ms. Mitali Misra, Head, EC Mobility accepted the Award of Honour in the Small Business Global Trade category in recognition of the company’s excellence in providing technology solutions to foreign clients. Ms. Divya Raithatha received the MSME Export Achiever Award of Honour on behalf of Mr. Sunil Raithatha, Managing Director, Vinodrai Engineers Pvt. Ltd. in recognition of company’s excellence in export of key automobile components. Ms. Yogesh Girase of Endurance Technologies Ltd. accepted the Global Business Head Award of Honour in recognition of his company’s outstanding performance in export of key automobile components. Mr. Arvind Kulkarni and Mr. Pratik Pande of Jeena & Company accepted the Global Logistic Leader Award of Honour in recognition of company’s outstanding performance in providing logistics service to exporters. Mr. Anand Pole, Secretary General, Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agricultural (CMIA) accepted the Export Facilitation Award of Honour in recognition of chamber’s commitment to promote trade and investment.
