Crowne Plaza Moscow WTC is the Russia's Leading Conference Hotel according to the World Travel Awards.

The five-star hotel of the World Trade Center Crowne Plaza Moscow WTC was recognized as the «Russia's Leading Conference Hotel 2020» according to the World Travel Awards in the field of tourism and hospitality.

The main competitors of Crowne Plaza Moscow WTC in this nomination were: Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow, Corinthia St Petersburg, Kempinski Grand Hotel Gelendzhik, Moscow Marriott Grand Hotel, Radisson Resort (Zavidovo), Savoy Hotel Moscow and Swissôtel Krasnye Holmy Moscow.

Crowne Plaza Moscow WTC becomes the World Travel Awards winner for the third time. In 2013 the hotel won the nomination «Leading business hotel in Russia», and in 2015 – «Leading conference hotel in Russia».

We are also pleased to announce that Moscow has won two nominations at the European stage of the World Travel Awards, outstripping in the «Best Travel Destination in Europe. City» nomination such megalopolises as London, Paris, Barcelona, Venice, Rome and others. The capital of Russia also won «The Best Travel Destination for Cultural Heritage Studies in Europe» nomination.

In the World Travel Awards final, Moscow is nominated in seven nominations at once: «The best destination in the field of business tourism», «The best destination for a city break», «The best tourist destination. City», «The best cultural destination. City», «The best destination for festival and event tourism», «The best tourist destination for studying the historical heritage» and «The best destination for sports tourism». The winners will be announced at the World Travel Awards Grand Final, which is going to take place for the first time in Moscow on November, 27 and will be held online.

The World Travel Awards has been established in 1993 and is awarded in more than 80 nominations to the most attractive cities for travelers, the best tour operators, airlines, resorts, hotels and other representatives of the industry. It is considered one of the most prestigious travel industry awards in the world. The award is also called the travel «Oscar».

Each year, the WTA hosts a Grand Tour, a series of regional galas on every continent. Among the nominees there are the winners of the previous year, as well as those who has applied for participation independently or has been nominated by the organizers' expert council.

This year, due to the difficult epidemiological situation the cities - hosts of the regional stages of the World Travel Awards 2020 - decided to abandon the award ceremonies. The winners of various nominations are regularly announced on the official website of the award.

The winners of regional ceremonies and nominees presented by the award's expert council go to the Grand Final.
