The Czech Republic and the Russian Federation

Dear colleagues!

We invite you to participate in the Czech-Russian conference "Prospects of cooperation between the Czech Republic and Russia: tourism, logistics and historical cultural heritage". The meeting will be held on the 17-18th of May 2018 in Prague and aim to continue the bilateral dialogue to expand cooperation between the countries. The significance of the agenda stresses the special status of the Conference, which will be held under the patronage of the President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the Czech Republic Alexander Zmeevsky.

The business program includes a plenary session and thematic round tables devoted to cooperation in the areas of railway and air transport, freight and maritime transport, tourism, restaurant business, as well as the exchange of experience in the preservation of historical cultural heritage. Participants of the Russian delegation will be invited to the B2B meetings at Czech companies.

The Conference is organized by the Business Council of entrepreneurs of the Czech Republic for cooperation with the Russian Federation, the Business Council of Russian entrepreneurs for cooperation with the Czech Republic with the support of the RF CCI.

In 2017 a number of events dedicated to the Russian-Czech trade and economic relations development took place. Dozens of business representatives interested in the joint development of technology, industrial cooperation and export development participated in the events.

Thus, in May, a bilateral economic Russian-Czech business forum was held with the participation of business circles, ministries of industry and trade, as well as ambassadors of both countries.

In the framework of the international exhibition INNOPROM-2017, the Czech-Russian conference "Modern energy technologies – the basis of future industry" was held, where a number of joint projects of Sverdlovsk region and the Czech Republic (in the fields of mechanical engineering and energy and others) were considered along with general issues of interaction between the two countries.

In November 2017 within the framework of the official visit of the President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman to the Russian Federation, WTC Moscow hosted the Russian-Czech economic forum, which was attended by a record in number delegation from the Czech Republic in the entire history of diplomatic relations between the two countries - more than 150 business representatives discussed the strengthening of trade-economic cooperation. A number of agreements were signed between companies from different spheres within the framework of the Forum.
