First day of SPIEF 2015 started with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Business Forum where public authorities and representatives of financial institutions from Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Tadzhikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan gathered to exchange their views and reports on current issues.

Chairman of the national part of SCO Business Council from Russia, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (CCIRF) Mr. Sergey Katyrin moderated the discussion.
WTC Moscow Director General Mr. Vladimir Salamatov participated in the Forum as well being the Chairman of the CCIRF Committee on Economic Integration Issues of SCO and CIS Member-Nations.

The Agenda of the Forum among other questions included:

• Eurasian Economic Union as a means to renew and strengthen investment cooperation in the SCO framework
• ways to stimulate cooperation in realization of multilateral projects
• financing of the SCO economic programs
• realization of new market opportunities

During the discussion Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Mr. Pin Uy suggested to SCO countries to enhance the support to small and medium size businesses, including establishment of new institution that can be named “Center of legal consulting and commercial disputes settlement”.
