July 17, Moscow. Today the World Trade Center Moscow hosted a business breakfast with Brian Tracy, the world’s No. 1 expert in business systemic development. The event that took place on the WTC’s summer terrace was attended by executives and employees of Russia’s major companies.
Tracy told how to systematize your thinking during a crisis so that you would be able to come out of it not only unscathed but with significant gains.
Tracy’s anti-crisis model includes 7 steps: impartial analysis of the situation; thinking “from scratch”; redistribution of human and other resources and their realignment to accommodate the most effective processes; streamlining of operations; redefining your actions; and, finally, concrete acts based on those steps.
Taking internationally renowned companies as example, Tracy showed how important it is to analyze all developments in the industry and to act accordingly. For instance, Nokia and Blackberry were afraid of changes that would have helped them adapt to new market conditions, and have lost a significant portion of the market as a result.
“The only thing that is guaranteed for a leader is a crisis. The bigger your challenges are the bigger is your responsibility, but at the same time the vaster your opportunities,” emphasized Tracy. The business coach’s advice might be of help not only to senior executives but also to corporate employees willing to build a successful career.
To crown the session, the business success guru made an announcement of a two-day event entitled “Performance amidst changes: anti-crisis thinking and new business opportunities,” which he is going to hold on October 17 and 18, 2015 in Moscow.
