Franco-German Business Round Table

Jan 28, 2022

As part of "Metz is wunderbar", a Franco-German round table was held on Friday 28 January from 6 to 7pm at Kino le Klub, on the theme of audiovisual productions and hosting film shoots, organised by the Inspire Metz agency and the WTC Metz-Saarbrücken.

Some audiovisual enthusiasts were present in the room while others followed the debates live via the streaming link on youtube.

This event, led by Guy Keckhut, was enriched by the testimonies of our French and German speakers: Vincent Levery (Production Manager Topshot Films), Dominique Hennequin (Producer and Founder of Nomades), Gregory Reyter (Director and Founder of Why vision), Patricia Green (Delegate Councillor, Communication-Events City of Marly), Marisa Winter (Department of Education, Culture and Youth of the City of Saarbrücken), Julian Langer (Managing Director Concept.20).

Among other interesting topics, we were able to discuss the cinematographic approach of the French teams and our neighbours, the Germans. While some focus on acting and script, others are more focused on technique! Totally complementary skills which in the end make for an optional Franco-German film team!

The hosting of film shoots was also discussed and the quality of Inspire Metz's support on the territory of the Metz Eurometropolis was highlighted.

In view of these very rich and rewarding exchanges and in order to consolidate the Franco-German audiovisual offer, new projects are already being discussed between professionals and creative people from Metz, Saarbrücken and Trier.

The evening continued with the Petits Claps festival organised by the Franco-German Management Master in partnership with the Inspire Metz agency. 15 short films were in competition. The films were of very good quality and were part of the theme "Through time"!
