World Routes Draw International Delegates to Las Vegas

Nov 14, 2013

October is an exciting month as the Las Vegas Convention and World Trade Center, the premier global destination for conferences and events, draws a major international industry show to Las Vegas, Nevada.

The 2013 World Route Development Forum, known as “World Routes,” is the largest single annual gathering of airline network planners worldwide. World Routes will hold its first ever U.S. conference in the Las Vegas Convention and World Trade Center, October 5-8. More than 3,000 delegates are expected to attend World Routes this year, including senior representatives from leading airlines and airports as well as the tourism industry. The event creates opportunities for companies across five continents to develop new business, meet customers, launch new products, promote their brands and expand their markets. Confirmed speakers so far include: Christoph Mueller, CEO of Aer Lingus; Estuardo Ortiz, Chief Operating Officer & Executive VP of Avianca; Christopher Thompson, President and CEO of Brand USA; Rossi Ralenkotter, President/CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority; Stephen Attenborough, Commercial Director of Virgin Galactic and Lee McCabe, Global Head of Travel, Facebook.

International delegates are a large part of the trade show landscape in Las Vegas. In some instances, the international audience represents 20 to 30 percent of attendees. The Las Vegas Convention and World Trade Center will welcome one of the biggest draws for international business travelers when 2014 International CES (CES)® returns January 7-10, 2014. CES hosted a record number of international industry professionals last year, with more than 36,000 delegates from 150 countries attending the global innovation event.

More than 150,000 professionals are expected to visit CES in 2014 to see the latest consumer technology products and services on display by more than 3,200 exhibitors.
WTCA members receive complimentary admission to CES by entering the priority code 14WTCA when prompted in the CES registration process ((hyperlink to www.CESweb.org/registration)). Visit CESweb.org for the most up-to-date show information.
