Las Vegas Welcomes Visitors with ‘Vegas Smart’

Jul 27, 2020

Las Vegas is preparing for the return of meetings and conventions, and when the time is right for business to resume, we’ll be ready to host visitors to meet and exchange ideas. While things may look a little different, the destination is confident visitors will still find the Only-in-Vegas experience they’ve come to expect.

The Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), which is also the World Trade Center Las Vegas, has committed to pursuing the International Sanitary Supply Association’s GBAC STAR™ accreditation, which establishes gold standard cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention protocols that meet or exceed the industry’s highest standards of cleanliness for pathogens like the novel coronavirus.

The health and safety of our guests and employees is our No. 1 priority, so Las Vegas has proudly launched a new campaign called Vegas Smart to encourage guests to enjoy the destination safely and responsibly. Resorts across the destination are also taking steps to effectively clean and sanitize their properties and encourage responsible behavior, and their individual plans are also available on the Vegas Smart page. The campaign helps remind visitors to take a few simple steps to enjoy the destination while staying safe and staying healthy.

“We’re thrilled to welcome visitors back to Las Vegas, and we encourage everyone to be Vegas Smart and responsible. Wearing masks, adhering to distancing and hand washing recommendations, and immediately seeking medical attention if you feel unwell is vital for both residents of southern Nevada and our visitors,” said Fletch Brunelle, Vice President of Marketing for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, which owns and operates the LVCC. “We want our visitors to enjoy all of the excitement and world-class experiences that you only find in Vegas, while also being smart, responsible and courteous to fellow guests while here.”

Partners across the destination are committed to spreading the word about enhanced cleaning and sanitization of all areas and surfaces from the hotel room to the meeting venue, because there is nothing more important than making sure our guests feel confident getting back to business.

Las Vegas takes great pride in being the world’s top travel destination, offering unparalleled meeting spaces, dining, shopping, spas and more. We can’t wait to welcome you back, and to show you that Vegas Means Business.
